To think, we started this blog to trace the development of our house remodel and our first born.
Now we're selling our house, and we've got two born. One just turned four.
Today, we marked our last of at least a dozen Thanksgiving in this abode by entertaining ourselves. Nobody else. Sarah cooked a turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and a homemade apple pie. Track its progression below.
First, though, we go to Wednesday night when dad and Claire kicked off the holiday at the Blazers game.
Claire caught on real fast.
In the morning, we tended to our latest household guest, Vanilla. We're caring for her during the off-days at Claire's preschool, where Vanilla normally resides.
And now for the pie assembly. Claire helped, of course. Unfortunately, dad did not realize how much butter went into it until he saw this photo:
Apples, peeled:
Crust, the best part (what with all that butter):
And yes, it tasted as good as it looks.
Dad finally swooped in when it was time to eat....and carve....
Mmmmmmmmmmm.......
