Change is constant. Paige has learned how to smile so we can enjoy them and she's flashing them with abandon.
Some of her favorite friends are the lions that orbit above her mechanical swing. They calm her and evoke shy grins. She's even started reaching for them, and for her mother's face.

Strangely, though, after flashing all those smiles, she clenches her fists, jukes a bit and breaks into an impression of Rocky Balboa.
Babies. Always entertaining.

The hunted

CeeCee might not be with us anymore, but Moppet has taken over the yard. Above lies the latest evidence of her sleuthing.

Back and forth
It is 6:36 a.m. and somebody already is hard at work swinging and sliding on her new swing and slide.
Grandpa and dad put it up yesterday.
It's a $75 Craigslist special, sturdier than first glance, full of its own stories and parenting tricks.
Instantly, it was a success in this lot, and the men who assembled it were very satisfied with themselves.
Look at all it can support!
Of course, we soon forgot that, at this age, it takes two to really swing.
